MightyCad for SOLIDWORKS 0.6.26 - installation
============================================
Your AI engineer inside SOLIDWORKS

Requirements
 - Windows 10/11 (64-bit), SOLIDWORKS 2022 or newer.
   (.NET Framework 4.8 and the WebView2 runtime ship with Windows 11; nothing else to install.)
 - Run-analysis features need SOLIDWORKS Simulation (Premium or Simulation licence).
 - A license key from your administrator, and API keys for the providers selected in Settings
   (Anthropic, OpenAI and/or Google Gemini).

1. Install
   Close SOLIDWORKS, then double-click Install.cmd (or the .msi) and accept the administrator prompt.
   It installs to C:\Program Files\SwAssistant and registers the add-in.
   The installer is signed with a TEST certificate, so Windows shows "Unknown publisher".
   That is expected - click "More info" > "Run anyway" if SmartScreen appears.
   (Optional, for IT: import MightyCad-TestSigning.cer into "Trusted Publishers" to remove the warning.)

2. Start SOLIDWORKS
   Open the "MightyCad" tab in the Task Pane (right side). If it is missing:
   Tools > Add-Ins > tick "MightyCad" (both columns).

3. Activate the license
   - Enter your e-mail and license key, click Activate.
     (Licenses are checked against https://solidworks-licenses.reportil.com - nothing to configure.)
   A license can be active on 2 computers; release one in the company portal to move it.

4. Configure API keys and models
   Gear icon > enter your Anthropic, OpenAI and/or Gemini API keys > Save.
   Automatic triage uses available providers, reviews results, and escalates failed work within limits.
   Set tier overrides and cost/repair limits as needed. Fixed role combinations switch to manual routing.
   Each selected provider needs its own key. A local reference catalogue can be linked in Settings;
   private drawing PDFs and engineering knowledge are not included in this package.
   Start a new MightyCad chat after upgrading to use the current workflow and tool catalogue.

Use from Claude Desktop (optional)
   Add to claude_desktop_config.json:
   { "mcpServers": { "solidworks": { "command": "C:\\Program Files\\SwAssistant\\Host\\SwAssistant.Host.exe", "args": ["--mcp"] } } }

Uninstall: Settings > Apps > "MightyCad for SOLIDWORKS" > Uninstall.
